International Congress Raw Material Shift & Biomaterials

Even though the situation at the commodity markets has currently calmed down due to the dramatic financial crisis, the matter is still of great importance and topicality. This pause in the rise of commodity prices should be used to develop commodity strategies for the future. The exact evaluation of the commodity markets will have substantial implications for the commodity and raw material choices of the future.

First day of the congress: Raw Material Shift

On the first day of the congress the focus will be on the global and national commodity situation. Following an overview of the fossil and mineral commodity markets, the first day will be centered around the question "What can agricultural resources accomplish as an alternative?"

Second day of the congress: Biomaterials

On the second day the wide variety of today’s and tomorrow’s biomaterials as well as their industrial applications will be presented. Companies will be introducing their biomaterial strategies; institutes will be showing what will be possible in the near future via biomimetics and biotechnology.

We expect about 300 participants and approx. 30 exhibitors. Discuss new developments and trends with renowned commodity and biomaterial experts. Use the congress to develop new networks. The Innovation Award "Biomaterial of the year" will be selected and awarded during the gala dinner on the first day of the congress.

Furthermore, the Business Directory for Innovative Biomaterials - BIB’09 will be presented for the first time.
