3. Introduction to Products

The TCF bleached paper is produced by using H2O2 in 2 bleaching stages, which is activated by an activating agent, from hemp raw material that has the following characteristics:

- 1. The whole bleaching process of pulp production didn’t use bleaching agent containing chlorine, only H2O2 bleaching activated by activator, so that the pollution problem of dioxins may be basically resolved.
- 2. Because the cost of using activator is lower, it may save bleaching agent without chlorine, its brightness may reach 65%, which is above that of notebook paper exported by Dalian Foreign Trading (the brightness of notebook paper exported by Dalian Foreign Trading is 55% and was made of bleached wood pulp containing 30% chlorine bleached pulp and bleached pulp without chlorine).
- 3. The 2 stages bleaching of H2O2 which is activated by activator is a simple process. The TCF bleached pulp of whole hemp stems is comparable to multi-stage bleaching of TCF; however, its investment is modest and the cost are lower.
- 4. The comparison between hemp and kenaf as raw materials for papermaking shows that the economic value of kenaf seeds is low. The kenaf stalks produce more waste amounts, their water contents is high and the kenaf skin and stalks suffer more easily from mildew, which affects the quality of the paper, whereas hemp has no such problems because its water content is low and the harvest is in autumn
