Invitation to ENCOD’s General Assembly

To all ENCOD Members

Antwerpen, 20 April 2007

Dear member of ENCOD,

With this e-mail, we would like to invite you to the annual General Assembly of ENCOD.

This year’s meeting will be held at the ENCOD secretariat, Lange Lozanastraat 14, Antwerpen. It will start on Friday June 22nd at 11.00h, and end on Sunday, June 24th, at 17.00h.

As you can read in the Annual Report on 2006 (on http://www.encod.org/ANNUALREPORT2006.pdf ) ENCOD is evolving and gaining influence. In 2007 and 2008 we will have new opportunties to raise our voice. That is why we need to sit down together, and discuss the following topics:

*The dialogue with the European Union.*
 We have managed to get the process started, now we need to decide on our next steps.

*The ENCOD-website *
 Our new website (to go online soon) offers possibilities for local ENCOD Members to participate. We will organise a workshop for those interested in collaborating with this site.

*The Vienna 2008-campaign *
 We will discuss several proposals for this campaign. Any ENCOD Member can make his/her own proposal as well. Proposals (of max. 1 paragraph) that are sent to joep at encod.org before June 15th, will be inserted in the proposal-list; Please put in the line Subject: Proposal Vienna 2008)

*The 2007-2008 work plan *
 Among others, the organisation of a European Cannabis Social Club Day has been proposed. Again, any ENCOD Member is invited to present his/her proposals (max. 1 paragraph). Please send to joep at encod.org before June 15th, Subject: Proposal work plan 2007-2008)

*The approval of the Annual Report and the election of a new Steering Committee * These formalities need also to be done.

If you want to be at the Assembly, but can’t afford to pay for the travel expenses, contact us and ask us for possibilities to receive reimbursement. This year we may not able to compensate a lot of people, but we will try to do our best. At least the (budget) hotel accomodation of approx. 25 people can be paid for by ENCOD. To benefit from this please reply to us before May 16th. After this date we can no longer ensure you any compensation.
