Since 2001, in Poland for possession of dried hemp (commonly known as marijuana), threatens punishment to five years imprisonment. About that know everyone, who is a bit focused on the topic. However, a few do anything to change this senseless drug policy. Fortunately, there is an organization FreeHemp (WolneKonopie), which is fighting for change. It shall appoint a number of initiatives in support of the legalization movement, and activists belonging to a group formed to support these activitie. One of these is the Order of Mary (Zakon Marii)- Women who became one of the pillars of the organization FreeHemp (WolneKonopie).
The Order of Mary (Zakon Marii) was founded in 2008, for a few weeks before the Global Milion Marijuana March, which was held in August 17.05.2008 in Warsaw. Crazy idea to gather a group of women who will be on the March "give hugs for free” and spread, like a grain of hemp, the positive vibe, quickly turned into something more. A simple idea created by one of the activists from FreeHemp (WolneKonopie) under the influence, involvement, many ideas and enthusiasm of women joining the action, transformed into a project to activate the female members of the Indian hemp.
Order`s (Zakon) developing multilateral interest and talents. Started from public awareness of the topic, by the artistic talent, music, to contacts with the hemp industry and the press. Today, activists continue to take impetus action and increasingly shows that women in any case are not the weaker sex. Girls are not afraid to talk openly about cannabis - the topic that is socially recognized as a "taboo". Repeatedly demonstrated that their knowledge goes much further than the bean marijuana smoker. The mass of ideas and enthusiasm to realize them, the features that characterize and distinguish the Order of Mary (Zakon Marii). However, in addition to the activities is also a lot of joy and an integrated group which wants to change the reality.
