USA/ILLINOIS: a progressive law

A new Illinois state law prescribes that the criminal records of those convicted of drug possession be concealed from public access, in order to make it easier for dischargees to find jobs after their release. After four years the conviction itself will become inaccessible, and the ex-convicts will no longer be required to mention it in any job application.
