Vote on drug policy in swiss parliament (big chamber)

The "motion" (appeal to do a certain thing) was about making drug policies more repressive.

The "motion" was old, from 17.6. 2004, thats when rightwing liberal Wasserfallen had put in the "motion", now the parliament got it on the todo-list.

Well, it was not accepted by the parliament, 90 no and 80 yes.

I checked the results of the vote, to see who had voted how. -The surprise was, to see that a group of rightwing politicians (11 from the SVP, Swiss People party), for what reasons ever, had not been there when the vote was on (altogether there has been 25 not been voting at all).
- The Christian People Party had 10 votes for and 14 against the "motion".Good.
- Liberal Party had 21 for and only twelve against, disappointing... (what kind of Liberalism is this? Probably only dedicated to economic matters)

You can find the text of the "motion", the discussion and the exact numbers on http://www.droleg.ch/drol2006.html
- If you are on he admin.ch site, you can find everything in french and italian as well.
